Position
Summary:
The Sizer Operator will strategically perform tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the organization's production department.
The Sizer Operator activities in coordinating and planning, directing, and engaging in daily line production.
It is also encouraging and mentoring employees, as well as safety, quality control, inventory management and interdepartmental communication.
The Sizer Operator is to follow all policies, procedures, and systems with the goal of aligning all program components with the company's business objectives.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsible to ensure highly efficient operation of the Pear Sizer Line Communicate with and direct the Floor lead, to ensure maximum throughput efficiencies met, and fruit quality is maintained Perform all necessary start-up/shutdown procedures, and troubleshooting Monitor for mechanical and safety issues.
Report any issues, at once to Maintenance and the Production Manager Track, document, and report all down time, daily Responsible for, keeping fruit flow volume, in line with budgeted EQs per hour.
Must properly set-up and closely check fruit drops into packing tubs and specialty lines Must closely check tub fill and make prompt adjustments as needed Must closely check and change out PLUs as needed Communicate with the Stamper Operator on packed case weights to ensure sizer weights are properly set Communication on Teams, before and when making packing line changes All packing line changes, including Grower changes, to be communicated through Microsoft Teams Other duties as assigned Education and
Experience:
Minimum of 3
years of pear warehouse production related experience Minimum of 1 year using a Sims system Bilingual Spanish/English preferred not required Expected Hours of Work:
Core business hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:
00 a.
m.
to 2:
30 p.
m.
These workdays and hours may vary depending on production requirements.
Overtime hours may be needed at times to accommodate production requirements.
This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a pre-employment drug test as well as participation in our random drug testing program, and possible additional drug testing at the company's request.
